Ribes areum (Golden Current)
Found in the plains and foothills throughout the Rockies, this is one of the best flavored wild currents of our region. In order to create a mutually beneficial relationship with the plants we harvest, our botany students learn tending methods for wild plant stands. Currents grow easily from cuttings, and can thus be tended and propagated in the wild.
